This beautiful quilt has been generously donated my Julie Chandler of JAC Creations. Julie is a member of the Biggs North San Diego HOG Chapter along with her husband Dave Chandler. This quilt and bidding forms will be displayed at Biggs Harley-Davidson and Buell dealership in San Marcos.

Story regarding Julie journey in the making of the quilt..

"When Jan Ferris approached me about making a quilt for this year's Heart Ride, I was not sure exactly what to design. I don't know much about motorcycles and only last year did I climb on the back of my husband's Harley for just a short ride. Well, it is hard to get me off the bike now. I had seen the T-shirt quilts made for other charity events and liked how they looked but I wanted to design something different that we had not seen before.

I had noticed a Memory Quilt, at the Houston International Quilt show last year in Houston Texas, where a picture was scanned to the computer, then downloaded to the printer onto a special fabric called Printed Treasures. I asked my husband, David, what he thought about making a quilt with pictures of Harleys from the early1900's through the present. We agreed it might be something unique and started gathering photos from different books depicting various bikes from Sportsters to Ultra Classics. We spent a few weeks sorting the pictures and deciding which ones to use. The background fabric reminded me of some of the metallic paint schemes I have seen on some of the bikes.
